As ever, the artwork is immaculate here, with layouts resembling the old Detective Comics style (even if it's fair to say that the comics of that era never quite attempted a plot with this level of ambition).
The Victorian, so far at least, is serving as an interesting new hybrid - offering tastes of suspense, the supernatural, mystery, and even the super-hero comics of days past.
